Complete Unfinished Projects for Store Credit

We want you to finish your substantially unfinished quilt projects and if you do, we will give you a $5 gift certificate to the store. If you donate the project to Quilts of Valor or Community service, we will give you another $5 gift certificate. You can register up to 5 projects. When
complete, bring them in and show them to us and get your gift certificate. Each unfinished quilt needs to be completed by July 1, 2019 for this program. Projects that just need bindings will not be included in this challenge! We have created special classes to help you finish your quilts. Sign up with the teacher who taught the class originally.  

Template Free Motion Classes
Cindy Barfield's classes, that use templates for free motion quilting, continue to be very popular. We have a sample of a quilt top that has been quilted using templates in the store. You must
take a free introductory class before taking the monthly ones. The next introductory class is Friday, Jan 25. Sign up soon, these classes are very popular.  

Bag Classes Offered

Regina Boyer offers Poppins Bag, which can be accentuated with our large digital animal prints and EZ Bag Essentials, a good starter class to create this roomy bag. Cindy has Template Ruler Bagto store all the templates for her free motion class.

Winter Classes Abound

We have many strip quilt classes this quarter: Beachside Bungalow, a beginner quilt with Sue Clarkson, uses straight lines to create a curved effect. Ginger Blossomswith Mary McCusker, uses strips with flying geese. Time After Time with Deb Martinez, teaches how to sew curves using light and dark strips. Birch Barkwith Louise Heine uses strips too. Soda Popwith Deb is a quick quilt and Usagiis an oriental rabbit quilt. Le Adams offers Organizing and Using Scraps. Julee Coffman, is back with One Block Wonder Encore, a challenging and fun quilt. Capiz Lantern for intermediate skilled quilters with Louise, uses a new ruler to create a great look. She also has Turbine, another strip quilt. Focus on Fridawith Geri Rodriquez uses our Frida Kahlo fabrics to create a nice lap quilt. Drunkard's Path is offered by Vel Saddington, using curved templates, that she invented. Cindy offers Tell a Story with English Paper Piecingto help you create miniature pictures or stories with thread and fabric. Mary has Collage Classand a Color Classtoo.

Clothing Classes Offered

Men's Shirt, which can be used to make a man's shirt or an oversized shirt for a woman, is offered by Lorraine Gruys. She also has Lorraine's Luxury Shirt\Blouse,which was very popular in our Fall schedule. Lorraine has lots of experience as a tailor. Making a T Shirt Quilt, uses those T shirts you have been saving for a memory quilt. Cindy will show you methods for sewing and getting your blocks ready. The rest will be up to you!

New Fabrics Arriving!

Just arrived are very bright colored fabrics from Timeless Treasures including several heart patterns and a spectacular horse panel as well some colorful P & B prints including colored owls. Also, in are Marcia Derse's new Art History line and a new Ghastlie's Pastoral. We have a 

complete Southwest batik line from Hoffman and lots of new Oriental prints for clothing and quilting. Also, we have unusual Southwest flannels from Robert Kaufman. Just in are Mini Ikats from In The Beginning Fabrics. Coming soon are patriotic fabrics, lots of batiks, and some
bright florals.

New Pressing Mats and More!


Just arrived are Felted Wool Pressing Mats which can be used to press pieced or embroidered blocks with ease. The 100% felted wool absorbs the seams and stitches, pressing both sides at once. Come in and try a sample at the front of the store. Also new are Nest
Organizers, which are made with soft plastic and hold your tools, pens & pencils.

Quilts of Valor Sew Day

Our classroom will be available from 9-4 Feb 2, to sew QOV blocks or quilts. This the 6th
Annual QOV Sew Day.

Art Quilting & Specialty Classes 

Ferkovich Itbrings art quilter Ann Ferkovich back to teach her special method of creating blocks using special thread and piecing techniques. Lea Armstrong offers Sashiko and Sylvia Pippin Sashiko and Hand Applique,an ongoing block of the month. Kay Sutt is back with Meddling with Metal. Use various thin metals to create a stand-alone object or embellish your wall hangings. Can't decide what colors look best together? Try Mary's Color Classand learn the basics. She also offers Cutting Curves/Curve Ruler Techniques using a special ruler. Her popular Collage Class, using Laura Heine patterns is offered too.
